New Amendment Regarding CSFC Testing for Vehicles

October 2022On September 2, 2022 the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has issued a notification affecting all M and N category vehicles, excluding tippers, with a gross vehicle weight more than 3.5 tons. Starting April 1, 2023 these vehicles must be tested according to IS 11921:2022 for constant speed fuel consumption.
For these vehicles,whose components often require AIS certification and BIS certification, following passage will be added to the notification of the Government of India in the former Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways (Department of Road Transport and Highways) number S.O. 1365(E):
Constant speed fuel consumption test for all M and N category vehicles excluding tippers, with gross vehicle weight more than 3.5 tons | IS: 11921: 2020 as amended from time to time, at the constant speeds Light Motor Vehicles – 50 Km/h Medium and Heavy Motor Vehicles 40 Km/h and 60 Km/h | 1st April, 2023 |
The changes will be implemented on April 1, 2023.
